Guidelines For Presentation On Digital Forum

Please read the guidelines and information to facilitate the successful creation and uploading of your presentation. Give considerable thought to the design and preparation of your presentation so that it is effective and informative

1) ORAL PRESENTATION

The event is on 28th September 2022. Information regarding the timings and links will be shared with the participants 1-2 days prior to the event

1. Your Presentation Should Include:

  • The title slide should contain the title of the presentation

  • Do not disclose the name of the authors, co-authors, name of the advisor, affiliation or any personal information which reveals the participant’s identity.

  • Abstract number should be mentioned below the title.

  • Number the slides.

  • Give brief introduction, goals, experiment details, conclusions, and references. Present in logical and clear sequence.

2. File Type/Size, Fonts and Colors:

  • The presentation should be saved in PDF format.

  • The name of pdf should be saved as “your abstract number”

  • File size should be less than 100 MB.

  • Font chosen should be readable.

  • Do not fill in excessive information in one slide.

  • Participants are free to choose presentation design. Avoid using red and green colors to assist those with color blindness.

3. Online Mode of Presentation:

  • The event will be in conducted via the zoom platform and shall be live streamed on the website and YouTube.

  • The link and time for joining the presentation will be shared with the participants via mail

  • While joining for the presentation, the participant must change their name with the abstract number.

  • Join 10 minutes prior to the time allotted.

  • Participants will be given 10 minutes for presentation and 5 minutes is allotted for Questions by judges

  • Make sure the video is on during the presentation.

  • Ensure that you are in a good network area

  • Preferably join via laptop

  • It is a formal event so dress accordingly

Note: Participants are requested to send their presentation by 27th September 2022 by 12pm. Late submissions will not be considered


2) POSTER PRESENTATION

The event is on 29th September 2022. Information regarding the timings and links will be shared with the participants 1-2 days prior to the event

1. Your Poster Should Include:

  • The paper title at the top of the poster and no authors or institute details.

  • Do not disclose the name of the authors, co-authors, name of the advisor, affiliation or any personal information which reveals the participant’s identity.

  • A brief introduction, goals, experimental details, conclusions, references. Presented in logical and clear sequence.

  • Explanation for each graph, picture and table.

2. File Type/Size, Fonts and Colors:

  • Poster size should be 45 cm width x 25cm height landscape.

  • Poster presentation can be created in a number of software applications but must be exported to PDF format for submission.

  • The PDF file size should be less than 100MB.

  • Use easily-read type. Suggested minimum font sizes:

  1. Title: Not more than 36 font size

  2. Body copy should be double-spaced text

  3. Fount size should not be less than 10

  4. Font style: Preferably Times New Roman

  • Choose your colors to provide strong contrast and avoid pairing red and green elements to assist those with red-green color blindness.

3. Reviewing Your Poster PDF:

When you finish creating your PDF, check the following:

  • Is your poster PDF saved with the PDF file extension?

  • Is your file size less than 100MB?

  • Do all your graphs, pictures and tables include explanations?

  • Is your text colour and size easy to read on screen?


Note: Avoid uploading multiple versions of your poster PDF.
